Nike Fairway Woods

Nike Fairway Woods are the club of choice for Golfing Professionals the world over, most notably Tiger Woods. Nike Fairway Woods have been engineered to deliver a high level of power and precision, as well as being adaptable to any course and lie. They are comprised of several club families and styles. Nike Fairway Woods incorporate various specifications and engineering attributes meant to assist the Golfer in creating the perfect launch.

With a 15° loft and 43 inch length, as well as a Nike Ignite graphite shaft and grip, the Ignite T60 delivers good overall performance, a good amount of forgiveness, and long distances. These clubs are geared towards low and mid-handicap golfers that need reliable performance in a fairway wood.

Set at 10.5° of loft, the SasQuatch and SasQuatch 2 are consistent if somewhat standard performers. They are forgiving with off-center shots and have a nice wide face for impact. Overall performance of these woods is in line with many other fairway woods out there. As Nike Fairway Woods carry a reputation for excellence, one would expect these particular clubs to be somewhat better than merely standard fare.

The SQ series of clubs includes the SQ Dymo, SQ Dymo2, and SQ Sumo2. As their name implies, the SQ Dymo2, and SQ Sumo2 are square-headed clubs, while the SQ Dymo is a round-head. With lofts from 8.5° to 11.5° and varying centers of gravity, these woods are excellent at keeping ball dispersion tight from shot to shot, and the extra-wide faces make contact a breeze. They may not be the prettiest clubs with their yellow paint, but they have it where it counts: in performance.

Nike Fairway Woods provide choices to fit the preferences of any Player and the challenges of any course. With their precise engineering and thoughtful design, Nike Fairway Woods are serious tools for the serious Golfer.

What Clubs Does Tiger Woods Use

The greatest Golfer in the world is always on the driving edge of top-notch golfing equipment. So what clubs does Tiger Woods use? The answer should come as no surprise: only the best!

Tiger's Driver is the Nike SQ DYMO Prototype 8.5°; the rounded shape of the head allows for an easy and powerful launch.

For Fairway Woods, Tiger prefers the Nike SQ II 15° 3-Wood with a Mitsubishi Diamana Blueboard shaft. He also uses the Nike SQ II 19° 5-Wood. These clubs feature a larger sweet spot and a center of gravity that has been pulled further back; launching the ball is easier, with greater distance.

Tiger's Irons are known to all be set at 1° upright. They are D4 swingweight, with standard size Tour Velvet grips. Famously, Tiger prefers True Temper Dynamic Gold X-100 shafts. His clubs include the Nike Victory Red Forged TW Blades.

For Pitching Wedges, Tiger opts for the Nike VR 56° Sand Wedge and the Nike SV 60° Lob Wedge, milled to perfection for the best shot placement and spin.

Tiger's Putter is a Scotty Cameron (By Titleist) Newport 2 GSS. With standard loft and lie, this 35 inch putter with its stainless steel head is a choice club for the job.

That answers the question of what clubs does Tiger Woods use, but Tiger is also picky when it comes to his other golf accessories. He prefers a Nike One Tour ball, a Nike Dri-FIT Tour glove, and Nike Air Zoom TW 2009 golf shoes. Overall, one hell of an arsenal for the Tiger!

5 top Tips To A Better Swing

#1. The Grip
This is the foundation of your success and critical to hitting the ball further and straighter. There are many different grips but the best has to be. 'The Interlocking Grip'. With this grip the index finger of the left hand and the little finger of the right hand combine and interlock. It is commonly used by those that have thick hands, or shorter hands.

#2. The Stance
Ideally have your weight balanced on both feet. Aim to stay relaxed as you stand over the golf ball as any muscular tension will have a negative effect on you swing. Make sure you bend at the hips and have a slight flex in the knee. but keep that spine straight and erect, no bends here please.

#3. The Backswing
Here the key is to be slow and deliberate. Many people rush in this phase, throwing themselves off balance, obscuring their stance and altering their downswing where the real power comes from. Keep the left arm straight and only go back as far as it is comfortable. Again discomfort results in tension.

#4. The Downswing
Major point here- keep your head in the same position, dont move it! Begin the downswing with the hips and keep your head behind the ball until you start to follow through. Do not push with your right hand. Power is going to come from the angle of the club to the wrists and the leverage it creates as you hold this angle as much as possible. Get it right and you will achieve maximum power.

#5. The Follow Through
After impact you want the club to fully release while keeping your head behind the ball. Your head should naturally come up with your right shoulder, so your chin should be over your right shoulder and your head facing the target to complete.

Remember to have some patience when learning the golf swing, go to the range and practice your swing without hitting any golf balls to start and then as you feel more comfortable with your swing you can start hitting a few balls.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008 Review
By
Sayed Islam

Tiger Woods seems to have the perfect lifestyle. A drop dead gorgeous Swedish supermodel wife, an enormous mansion, fame, money, on Forbes list of celebrities, an adorable daughter, close friends with Charles Barkley, thirteen major championships under his belt, and his very own video game.

Tiger Woods 2008 is the next iteration in the fairly long series of Tiger Woods video games. If you are an avid fan of the Tiger Wood games, you will feel very much at home with the latest installment. Electronic Arts have been notorious for making arcade Tiger Woods golf video games to appeal to the casual gamers, but his year seems different. Unrealistic scores (like 50 under par) are virtually impossible to achieve this time around. The gameplay is similar to the previous games in that it keeps the player immersed in the golf course. One new feature is a revamped putting system which allows you to anticipate the line of trajectory that your golf ball will travel on the green. Even though it is not as useful as Tiger Vision, (which was introduced in Tiger Woods 2005) it still helps to line up the putt. There is a limit to how many times you can utilize this feature, so players should not expect to abuse other players with their putting. Your skill level and difficulty will determine how many times you can use the putt preview.

Another element of the game that might turn a few players off is the golf swing mechanic. The analog sticks are no longer used to hit the golf ball; however, the buttons are used. This alteration may have been because of the lack of challenge with hitting the golf ball with the analog stick. The new way to make contact with the ball is to press the button three times (ala Madden kicking field goals). Once to start your swing, twice to start your downswing, and a third time for accuracy. If it seems too intricate, it really is fairly intuitive. Madden fans can easily make a smooth transition with this gameplay mechanic. Photo face is yet another new feature of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008. It gives gamers the opportunity to generate their own face and put it in the game. This feature appears to be exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Electronics Arts has not corroborated a Photo face feature for the Nintendo Wii. Sorry Nintendo Wii owners. The create a golfer aspect is back, and it has the usual things you would expect. You can create a golfer as skeleton-like as Nicole Richie, or as putrid as Rosie O'Donnell. It is all up to the gamer. All of the mini-games remain intact in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008. The visuals in the game are brilliant. Everything from the beautiful golf courses to Tiger Woods' millions dollar smile will appease anyone. Shot Confidence is another original aspect of the game. In a nutshell, playing well gives you confidence. Playing poorly lowers your confidence. Many will be dissatisfied with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008, but other will be elated. Overall, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008 is a solid improvement over Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007.

Final verdict 8 out of 10

Three Full Swing Golf Lessons
By Gary Hayes

Golf is a popular sport which is why a lot of the tournaments are shown on television. You may not yet play like Tiger Woods but to become better in the game, it will be helpful to follow the following three full golf swing lessons.

First lesson, you need a good shoulder turn to be able to hit the ball properly and let it land close to the hole. This is easier said than done because people have the misconception that making the left heel go up too much off the ground will make that work.

In essence, it does make the hip turn which is good but it does not produce any recoil. So what is the lesson here? Simply not to turn too much because recoil can be created not by how back the golfer turns when taking that shot.

Second lesson, you must never let your chin rest against the chest because this will make it difficult to swing the left arm across the upper chest during the back swing. The correct way to do is it to keep the chin up and allow the left arm to move freely across the chest. This will give you the wide arc that is needed to hit the ball in the in the right direction.

Third lesson, learn to relax because you are not able to think straight when you are pressured. When this happens, you forget tips one and two which disrupts your natural rhythm of hitting the ball the right way.

That is probably hard to do when you are in to winning the game but this is what separates the boys from the men. To get your mind off what is happening, try to block everyone out and picture yourself in your "happy place."

Remember the movie "Happy Gilmore?" That is exactly what Adam Sandler's character did in the movie and that helped him win despite the odds.

You might not get all these three tips overnight but if you practice regularly, you will get the hang of things. You have to remember that professional golfers also make mistakes and that they don't always win each time they are in a tournament.

That should give you a fighting chance because you are an underdog and you have nothing to lose when you participate in the competition. Of course, things change when you have done well throughout the tour and people expect you to do just as good as you did before.

When all else fails, try to remember golf swing tip number 3 because the difference between winning and losing is attitude and that is all in your head. Until you get it right, continue practicing at home, in the golfing range and out there on the green.

Technique and attitude is what the three golf swing tips are all about. How well you perform starts the minute you tee off which is why it is important to make it count so you won't have a hard time later on when you are only a few yards left from the hole.

If you get lucky, you may even do a "Hole in One" which does not happen very often. That will of course make you move on to the next hole that could be more challenging than the previous one.

It is all about you when you are out there on the green and success can only be achieved by following these golf swing tips.

I know these full swing golf lessons are going to be of use for you.
